Christmas Aftermath

Usually after Christmas feels like such a let down to me.  I enjoy the holiday season.  The decorations, the music, the PRESENTS, the family time.  Oh, and let's not forget what the whole season represents in the first place:  the birth of Jesus.  In contrast, the end of the holiday season used to involve going back to school, homework, and waiting 12 months until the NEXT Christmas.

But this year is different.

I don't feel the post-holiday lull.

I feel hopeful.

Excited.

We just moved into a new place.  We have a baby on the way.  I feel like a kid.  A kid that thinks the sky is the limit.  The beginning of this year feels hopeful.  Hopeful like this day felt in July '08:
